In the 1930s, Frank started this business. What made him so successful was how much passion he had helping and caring about his customers. After 40 years in the appliance repair business, Frank decided to retire and sell the business. But he didn't want to sell it to just anyone. It wasn't the selling price that concerned him, but that his customers would be as well cared for by loyal, trustworthy and knowledgeable people.
Frank took his time, interviewed potential buyers, and then he met my father. In the tradition that Frank started, my father, Fred, continued. In 1974 when my father took over the business we had a few hundred customers. We always kept Frank's wish to keep his customer's best interest at heart and by doing so we now have over 10,000 satisfied customers.
Ridgewood Appliance soon became a father and son business. We are so glad that the tradition of building lasting relationships through strong customer service and know-how continues to be the reason why our customers call us back and recommend us.
